As you probably already know, A4 focuses its programme not only on adult audience but also on children visitors. Thanks to art workshops, theatre plays, screening of movies in Kino ink, etc. we are trying to bring kids to art and create some bound. The sooner the better :)
Children art workshops already became a regular thing in A4. Every Thursday our lector Monika Pascoe Mikyšková has a course for children in the age of 4 - 6 years. She always chooses topic for each week and then on the class she starts with explanation of that topic and then the practical part comes. This year children were working on topics of Joseph Beuys or Caspar David Friedrich and many more.
As I already mentioned above, we have as well theatre plays which are suitable for the youngest ones as well. Nice example can be theatre play by Bratislava puppet theatre called Na slepačích krídlach (eng. On Han's Wings). Story talks about life of teenage girl in Czechoslovakia in 50's.
This week we will also have a special performance of author theatre by Katarína Rampáčková, called Jumika - space for contemporary dance. It's a perfect performance for a first experience with any kind of theater, your kids will love it!
"Jumika is a mysterious being who connects me with a home from which I am distant, it's my connection with Slavic roots; it's everything and feels everything. The worlds are hiding in her dresses."
The show was created in two stages, the first being played in Barcelona, Spain and the second in Kulturfabrik, Košice. It's on the stage thanks to public sources and Fund for the Promotion of Art.
Already on Friday, 23/02/2018. The entrance is 6 € / 3 €. Check out more on the event - Priestor súčasného tanca: Jumika.
